Radiography Image showing subsurface discontinuities.
Fluorescent mag-particle
 Liquid Penetrant Inspection
Magnetic Particle Inspection
Used to detect surface and subsurface flaws in ferromagnetic materials (carbon steel). It is commonly used to inspect TOL & WOL fillet welds, structural components, pre and post hot tie-ins, and fire tubes.
Radiography Inspection

A method of NDT that utilizes electromagnetic energy in the form of x-ray or gamma radiation to produce a negative image on a radiograph. Radiography has the ability to detect surface and subsurface discontinuities.
Liquid Penetrant Inspection

A method of NDT to detect surface discontinuities. A low-viscosity fluid (penetrant) is applied to the item being inspected and allowed a specific dwell time. The penetrant is carefully removed and a developer is applied to draw the penetrant from any surface discontinuities and provides a contrasting background to view the discontinuity. Liquid penetrant inspection is commonly used on stainless steel and ceramic components.
Hardness Testing

Hardness is a characteristic of a material, not a fundamental physical property. It is defined as the resistance to indentation, and it is determined by measuring the permanent depth of the indentation. More simply put, when using a fixed force (load) and a given indenter, the smaller the indentation, the harder the material. Indentation hardness value is obtained by measuring the depth or the area of the indentation using one of over 12 different test methods.Hardness Inspection
